Maudine Fay Longhofer Fiel, 79, of Austin, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022. The Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Lipscomb Union Church in Lipscomb, with Pastor Dwain Read officiating.

Born Oct. 22, 1932, to Verl D. and Leila Litchfield, Gaydean grew up in Higgins. She had two brothers and five sisters. Gaydean and her family were survivors of the 1947 Higgins tornado. Gaydean and Franklin Ray (Frank) Bucher married on Aug. 12, 1950, and raised five children: Cathy, Larry, twins Terry and Jerry, and Franklin Richard (Rick).

Frankie Helton, 84, of Canadian, passed away on Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, in Canadian. A private family service will be held. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

May 5, 1935 – November 17, 2021 Hemphill County native Bob Conatser died in his Amarillo home on Nov. 17, 2021, at the age of 86. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5, at 10:30 am, in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery, with Donald Hill, pastor of The River Ministries, officiating.

Julia Knipp Harris passed away on Monday, August 29, 2022, at the age of 77 in Asheville, North Carolina. Julia was born Julia Simmons Knipp on July 9, 1945 in Boston, Massachusetts, to Dr.

JoAnn Miller, 88, of Amarillo, formerly of Canadian, passed away on Oct. 9, 2022. Graveside services will be at 11 am on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, Oklahoma, with Joe Patterson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors. Memorial services will be at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Canadian on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 am.

Coby Galla, 44, of Stratford, passed away on Oct. 3, 2022, in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Gary Gene Wagner, 64, of Watonga, passed away on Sept. 26, 2022, in Amarillo.

Christopher Ray Fitch, 57, of Amarillo, passed away in Austin on Sept. 28, 2022, while hospitalized.
