Lila Lee Spence Turnage, 94, went home to be with God and Jesus for eternity on April 14, 2024.

Harold "Hack" Coffee, 78, of Canadian, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 in Canadian, Texas.

Steve Smallwood, 70, of Canadian, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in Canadian. Private memorial services were held in Canadian with Pastor Rick Timmons, officiating. Cremation and arrangements were under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Freddie Donaldson Hodges of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully in the presence of her children on March 16, 2024.

Peggy was born on November 28, 1932, in McAllen, Texas, to August and Mary Winters. Peggy graduated from high school in Hennessey, Oklahoma, in 1950. She graduated on a Friday and married Charles Heusel the following Monday in Hennessey. In 1968, they moved with their children to Canadian, Texas. It was there they homesteaded five acres of land. She moved to Canyon, Texas in September of 2023.

Damaris Itzel Jara, 23, of Canadian passed away February 29, 2024, in Canadian.
