Body Margaret Joann Billings 82 of Canadian, stepped into her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, in Canadian.Memorial graveside services will be 10 am, Saturday, July 27, at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian with Pastor Donald Hill, officiating.

Body Monica Lynn Beard was born April 12, 1955, in Canadian, Texas, to Don and Betty Ruth Merydith Beard. She passed from this life July 7, 2024, in Abilene, Texas.A service will be held at a later date.

Body Bette “Bubbles” Scroggins completed her earthly journey on July 7, 2024.   Bette was born September 25, 1939, to Allene Burleson and Franklin Jefferson “F.J.” Smith.  She married L.M. “Sam” Scroggins on February 21, 1959.

Body Leslie Kirk Courson was born on August 28, 1956 in Pampa, Texas to Harold Courson and Joyce (Denny) Doran. He graduated from Broken Arrow High School and The University of Texas in Austin.

Body Merle L. Miller, 71, of Booker, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024 in Plano.Memorial services will be at 10 am on Friday, June 28, at the Booker Friends Church with Pastor Darin Kearns, Pastor Gary Mills, and Pastor Wava Maier, officiating.

Body (Arlen) Dean Looper, 83, died on June 23, 2024, from pancreatic cancer in Pampa, Texas. He wasn’t born in Texas but he darn sure made sure he died there.

Body Martha Elizabeth “Beth” Beene Morris, 93, of Vega, entered heaven Saturday, June 22, 2024. Beth will be available for viewing from 10 am to 8 pm, Tuesday, June 25, with a visitation from 5 to 7 pm at Vega Methodist Church, 208 North 9th Street.

Body Virginia Gober, 83, of Amarillo, passed away on June 22, 2024, at her home in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, June 27, at the Hillside Christian Church Chapel, 6100 S Soncy Rd., with Pastor Bob Schroeder officiating.

Body Deloris Faye (Batts) Stout was born on February 8, 1943, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, to Roger Batts and Gladys Hogan Batts. She passed away on June 21, 2024, in Frisco at the age of 81.
