River Valley Museum invites guests to Halloween themed exhibit, and historic quilt and car shows

Canadian’s River Valley Pioneer Museum acts as a steward for Canadian’s heritage. The museum’s exhibits cover keystones in Hemphill County’s history, from the Neogene period to Spanish conquistadores and Indian battles to railroad and oil booms, and offers historic interpretation of the settlement period in the eastern Texas Panhandle.

Tax Talk

Dr. Tony Cook was going to be our program, but a last-minute conflict kept him away. County Judge George Briant graciously stepped in as the program. His talk was very informative about budget adoptions and setting of the tax rates for taxing entitles, scheduled to be adopted on Oct. 1.
