This is homecoming week at Canadian ISD, and the school calendar has been filled with spirited events ranging from Adam Sandler Day to Anything but a Backpack Day. Beloved traditions like Wednesday night’s Lighting of the C at Wildcat Stadium and Friday afternoon’s pep rally at the Canadian High School gymnasium are all part of the countdown to the main event: Friday night’s big game, featuring the Perryton Rangers vs. the Canadian Wildcats.
The Canadian High School, Class of 1982 celebrated its 40-year reunion during the weekend of Sept. 9. Activities began at 7 pm on Friday, Sept. 9, at the Stumblin’ Goat, where classmates, spouses, and family members had dinner and drinks (and our waitress was the bomb!). After the Goat, classmates and guests headed to the home of Jerry and Janis Ries for an evening of reminiscing and laughing, among other things.
