Canadian’s Lady Cats cross-country team won second-place overall on Saturday at the prestigious Lubbock Invitational at Mae Simmons Park. They were outpaced only by Holliday’s No. 1 Lady Eagles.

Konnar McClendon crossed the finish line in 2nd place overall, followed by Lady Cats Elizabeth Guerrero, 10th, and Arionna Black, 13th, among the top-15 finishers. Maile Quisenberry, Payton Lee, Brooklyn Beedy and Landry Appel rounded out the team.

“A great job all around,” said Coach Aaron Marks.

The Lady Cats will get one final run at Canyon this Saturday, September 30, before heading to the District Cross-Country meet at Dalhart on Wednesday, October 11.
