Body PRESIDENT JOHN F. KENNEDY’S assassination may be the most-remembered assassination in modern history. On the 58th anniversary of that fateful day in Dallas, it seems appropriate to examine the use of this method of political violence in the ensuing decades.

Body Thelma Dean Brinkley, 72, of Salem, Arkansas passed away at home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was born January 8, 1949 in Bradford to the late Warren Albert and Ruby Irene (Finley) Alexander.

Body Chleora Sue Denning, 47, of Lawton, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 19, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be at 2 pm, on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Church of the Nazarene in Higgins, with Rev. Cawlie Johnson, pastor, and Rev.

Body Bessie Lee Boone Gerken passed into eternity on Oct. 19, 2021, in Canadian. She would have been 98 on Oct. 27. A Catholic Mass service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canadian. Burial will be at the Lipscomb Community Cemetery.

Body LoEtta “Sis” (Chumbley) Killgore, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 7, 2021, peacefully at home in Dublin, Ohio.

Body Peter Dwayne Stuhan, 63, of Darrouzett, departed this world on Oct. 3, 2021, in Canadian.

Body Steve Vandiver passed away peacefully on Oct. 12, 2021, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Services were held at the First Baptist Church of Jasper, Arkansas, on Monday, Oct. 18. He will be interred at Spring Grove Cemetery located in Anthony, Kansas.

Body Mary Whisenant Gunn of Lipscomb died October 14, 2021 in Canadian. Graveside services will be 2 pm, Monday, October 18, in the Lipscomb Cemetery, with Pastor Donald Hill officiating.

Body Doris Landers, 92, of Higgins, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, in Canadian. Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Friday, Oct. 15, at the Higgins United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jon Nichols, pastor of the Follett United Methodist Church, officiating.
