Body Doris Landers, 92, of Higgins, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, in Canadian. Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Friday, Oct. 15, at the Higgins United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jon Nichols, pastor of the Follett United Methodist Church, officiating.

Body Joyce Elaine Hoobler Thomas, formerly of Canadian, passed away at the age of 75 on Sept. 30, 2021, in East Tawakoni, from post-COVID-19 complications. She contracted the virus in August and was hospitalized for 10 days.

Body David Carl Clark, 67, of Perry, Oklahoma, died Sept. 28, 2021, in Stillwater Medical Center-Perry. Dighton-Marler Funeral Home has been entrusted with his final care. Visitation will be today, Thursday, Oct. 7, at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Perry from 9 am to 8 pm.

Body Jacqueline Canada Reynolds, 68, of Canadian stepped into the arms of her Jesus on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in Canadian, TX.

Body Shirley Bentley Clifford, 80, of Campbell, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell. Visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 22 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, followed by services with Mr. Randall Baker officiating.

Body Margaret Louise Dowdy, 90, of Amarillo, and formerly of Canadian, passed away on September 14, 2021 in Amarillo. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Gary Jahnel officiating.

Body Cornelia Crumley Varnell, 80, of Canadian, passed away on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, in Sparta, Tennessee.

Body Mr. James Edward Chappell slipped the bonds of earth on Friday morning, September the 17th, at Mesa View Assisted Living in Canadian, Texas. He was 97 years and 11 months old. A visitation took place Wednesday, September 22, at Robertson Funeral Directors.

Body Steven Lee Haynes, 69, of Plano, died Sept. 9, 2021, in Canadian.

Body Calvin Andrew Nimmo, 96, of Canadian and formerly of Matador, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, in Canadian.
