VIRGIL DAKE

Body
Virgil Dake, 84, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. No services are planned. Virgil was born Sept. 28, 1935, in Glazier, to Glen and Stella (Jamison) Dake. He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict; a member of the United Methodist Church; a 32nd-degree Mason; and a licensed electrician, engineer, and surveyor. Virgil is survived by his lifetime partner, Mary “Em” Morris of Mountain Home; her daughter, Sondra Dailey; her son, Rick Dailey; and two grandchildren; by his sons, Russell, Danny, and Michael; by a daughter, Elaine (Jim) Hand; by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and by his sister, Kahra Whistler and special friend Jack Colston of Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife, Jeannie Sutton.

EVA ELIZABETH ANDERSON MCCLELLAN

Eva Elizabeth Anderson McClellan, 69, of Perryton, and formerly of Canadian, died Feb. 15, 2020, in Perryton. Cremation memorial services will be at 2 pm on Thursday, Feb. 20, at Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Chapel in Canadian with Beck Timmons, grandson, and Jeff Lay, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

FAY LORRAINE GEARHART

Body

Fay Lorraine Gearhart was born Dec. 23, 1935, in Chanute, Kansas, to John and Ruby Gearhart. He was the youngest of six siblings. F.L. went to be with Jesus surrounded by his loving family with joyful songs and prayer on Feb. 1, 2020, at the home of his daughter in Mustang, Oklahoma.

Services for F.L. Gearhart are scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 6, 2020, 1 pm, at the Wheeler Church of Christ. Viewing will be held at Robertson Funeral Directors on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 12-6 pm.

PATRICIA DIANNE MINGUS

Body

Patricia Dianne Mingus, 77, of Higgins, passed away on Jan. 27, 2020. Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Higgins Nazarene Church with the Rev. Mert Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Emmons Cemetery Higgins under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

CAROLYN LEE GULLETT

Body

Carolyn Lee Gullett, 86, of Robinson, Illinois, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Magnolia Center in Robinson. Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 17, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating, with burial following in the Robinson New Cemetery. 

Carolyn was born on Dec. 16, 1933, in New Hebron, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore and Oneita (Myers) Berry, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Robert D. Gullett on Nov. 17, 1951, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rita Riker.

LORI PLETCHER

Body

Lori Pletcher went to her heavenly home peacefully and unexpectedly on Jan. 17, 2020. A celebration of Lori’s life will be held at 1 pm on Jan. 25, 2020 at Messiah’s House in Amarillo. 

Lori was born Oct. 15, 1963, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Doyle and Kathy Cates. She married her lifelong best friend, Dallis, in July 1983, and four years later, their lives were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Alex Beth. 

Lori graduated from Booker High School in 1982. She graduated from Panhandle State University in May 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
