Carol Colleen Reid, 88, of Canadian, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020, at her home in Canadian. Due to our current health conditions and regulations, a private family memorial graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Friday, May 1, at Edith Ford Cemetery with Rev. Lewis Holland officiating. We encourage friends to attend the graveside and stay inside their vehicles. We will be able to broadcast the service over the radio. Our staff will deliver memorial folders and give instructions once you arrive at the cemetery. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

CHARLOTTE JO (GILL) PUDWILL

Charlotte Jo (Gill) Pudwill, daughter of Robert Murel and Dorothy Jo (Earp) Gill was born Aug. 23, 1949, in Higgins, and passed from this life on Monday, April 13, 2020. Private family graveside services were held Wednesday, April 15, at 1 pm at the Higgins Cemetery with the Mason Funeral Home of Shattuck, Oklahoma, in charge of arrangements. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

FRANK F. McMORDIE III

On Monday, March 2, 2020, Frank F. McMordie III slipped the surly bonds of this earth. Headed to altitudes unknown in his final skyward journey, he left his mortal remains and burdens to find peace above. A memorial service for Mac will be held in Lubbock at 11 am on Tuesday, March 10, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3321 33rd Street. Ashes will be returned to Canadian at a later date.

Joe Lackey, 70, of Amarillo, passed peacefully in his sleep at the Country Club Nursing Home and Rehab on Saturday, Feb. 29, 2020. Joe’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 10 am Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at the Eleventh St. Baptist Church (1010 N. Missouri) in Shamrock.

John Therman Briggs, 80, of Cody, Wyoming, died June 19, 2019. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 1 pm at the Abundant Life Assembly of God with Gary Jahnel officiating. Inurnment will follow at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Following the inurnment, family and friends are invited to return to the Abundant Life for a time of visitation.

Vircie Godwin Dysart, of Graham, Texas, formerly of Amarillo, celebrated a grand 100th birthday in September 2019, and was ‘ready to go’ on Feb. 15 ... after getting President Trump and Gov. Abbott elected. Graveside services were held Wednesday, Feb. 19, in the Mobeetie Cemetery, under the direction of Robertson Funeral Directors of Wheeler.
