Body Hello, Canadian Elementary students, staff, and parents. The new school year brings excitement and anticipation, and I know this year is no different. The staff and I have worked diligently to make sure your child has an excellent learning opportunity.

Body Denita Landry is stepping back into her teaching shoes to work as a part-time reading interventionist at Canadian Elementary School. Landry moved to Canadian in 1982 when she was in sixth grade.

Body Welcome to the 2021-22 school year! Every child, every day is finding a way to feel connected. Every child, every day is being challenged by new learning and experiences.

Body It’s time to get back in gear and start another great year at Canadian ISD. The past year proved to be a challenging one for all of us and I am hopeful this year will be much better for everyone!

Body We are super excited for this school year! Summer band started last week, and we already have a group of dedicated students. Our group is comprised of mostly young students. Seventy percent of the band members are freshman and sophomores.

Body Going into his 22nd year in education, Blake Eddleman will take on the position of special education and functional living teacher at Canadian High School.

Body It has been very rewarding to be a part of the district’s efforts to provide new and innovative STEM courses to our students at Canadian ISD.

Body Canadian native Saige (Pennington) Hamby is taking on the role of eighth-grade English language arts/reading teacher at Canadian Middle School. She was a CHS class of 2016 graduate.

Body After teaching for seven years, Samantha Cockrell has found her way back to Canadian and will serve as the Baker Elementary School math interventionist this school year. She will work closely with students in third grade through fifth grade.
