River Valley Pioneer Museum

Body
Well, in case you haven’t heard, I am departing the River Valley Pioneer Museum. My last day here is Nov. 5. I can tell you that my departure has happened much faster than any of us expected. Several months ago, after much consideration and conversations with my son Kyle, I decided it was time for us to start our plan to leave. I really thought I would find a new job early next year. Last week I was offered a remote position that would allow me to work from home until I could sell my house. I could not pass it up. So, now, I must say my goodbyes.

What's Cookin' in Canadian: Amanda’s Southern Cabbage Soup

Body
Amanda Phillips looked at a traditional cabbage soup recipe and made it her own to rave reviews! The original recipe called for diced potatoes, and they can easily be added to make a hardier soup. Once the basics are combined, it is a taste-as-you-go soup. Like many good cooks, she does not measure. A shake of this, a dash of that… start with a light hand and add as flavors combine. Enjoy!
