Body IT TAKES A LARGE GROUP of people to make things run smoothly around the museum. From day-to-day operations to special events, we rely on volunteers to help out on a regular basis. I’d like to take a moment to recognize and thank a few of those individuals.

Body AUSTIN—The May issue of Texas Parks and Wildlife magazine, available on newsstands now, highlights the Lights Out Texas campaign, which aims to create a safer spring migration for birds through cities across the state. Lights both attract and disorient the birds.

Body Remelle Farrar was the guest speaker recently at the monthly luncheon of the Comancheria Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, held in the WCTU Library meeting room. Farrar spoke on the Red River Wars of 1874, of which several battles were fought in our local area.

Body OF COURSE, WE SHOULD have known something was wrong. The nice thing about living in our new condo is that we don’t have the responsibilities of a stand-alone home.

Body The staff and board members of the Hemphill County Farm Bureau hosted a Member Appreciation Lunch last Thursday, serving freshly-grilled cheeseburgers with all the fixings, chips and beverages to their guests.
