CHS XC teams advance three to regional

Three members of the Canadian High School crosscountry teams finished in the top-10 at the twice-delayed District 1-3A meet held at Canyon High School on Friday, and qualified for the regional meet, which will be held Nov. 9 in Lubbock.

The eighth-grade and JV Wildcats headed south last Thursday, escaping the polar icecap of the northeastern Panhandle in search of unfrozen football turf. With the seventh-graders sidelined by COVID, the eighth-graders took the field first.
