The Canadian Wildcat junior varsity held the Highland Park Hornets scoreless in all four quarters Thursday evening while racking up 33 unanswered points to remain undefeated in district play. Quarterback Cree Waite completed 13-of-23 passes for 104 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for another 37 yards, to lead the offense.

After a rough start to their season, the seventh-grade Wildcats improved to 2-2 overall and an undefeated 2-0 district record last Thursday with their 22-0 shutout over the Highland Park Hornets. Landon Smith, 5-foot-6, 140-pound senior, has played in all four games this season at running back and linebacker for the Wildcats. During Canadian’s 52-14 thumping of the Hugoton (Kansas) Eagles, Smith ran the ball five times for 19 yards including a touchdown.
