Body Shortly after our article about the Killarney Café ran in The Canadian Record on March 31, I received a lovely package from Mary Stuman with photographs and a brief history of her father’s time working there. Pat Stuman (pictured) was Mary’s father.

Body IT TAKES A LARGE GROUP of people to make things run smoothly around the museum. From day-to-day operations to special events, we rely on volunteers to help out on a regular basis. I’d like to take a moment to recognize and thank a few of those individuals.

Body Remelle Farrar was the guest speaker recently at the monthly luncheon of the Comancheria Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, held in the WCTU Library meeting room. Farrar spoke on the Red River Wars of 1874, of which several battles were fought in our local area.

Body OF COURSE, WE SHOULD have known something was wrong. The nice thing about living in our new condo is that we don’t have the responsibilities of a stand-alone home.

Body The staff and board members of the Hemphill County Farm Bureau hosted a Member Appreciation Lunch last Thursday, serving freshly-grilled cheeseburgers with all the fixings, chips and beverages to their guests.
