The four-person, 18-hole scramble has been held here every year since 2015 on the first Saturday in June, and has earned a reputation for being “the fun tournament,” rather than the serious one.

Canadian High School junior Ben Bryant (in photo above) ended his 2022 golf season with a superb performance during the final round of the UIL Class 3A state golf tournament at the Jimmy Clay Golf Course in Austin Monday and Tuesday.

After two weeks of preparation, the Canadian High School track program will take seven individuals to compete at the UIL Class 3A state track-and-field meet on the grand stage of Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin Thursday.

For the first time in 10 years, Canadian will have a golfer representing the school at the University Interscholastic League Class 3A boys state golf tournament. Ben Bryant made that happen when he fired scores of 82 and 78 for a two-round total of 160 to finish eighth at the Region I-3A tournament two weeks ago, punching his ticket to Austin.

Canadian advances seven total athletes from the Region I-3A track-and-field meet on Friday and Saturday at Abilene Christian University. In a highly competitive region full of star-studded competitors from across West Texas, the Wildcats were able to qualify their 1600-meter relay in what may be the most intense race from Saturday.

Wildcat Athletic Banquet to be held at CES May 16 The annual Canadian Wildcat Athletic Banquet will be held at Canadian Elementary School on Monday, May 16, at 6:30 pm. All high school athletes will eat free.
