CHS golf teams in third-place after first District 1-3A tourney

Canadian’s Wildcat and Lady Cat golf teams both sit in third place after the first round of the District 1-3A golf tournament that was held at Ross Rogers Golf Complex in Amarillo on Monday. The tournament was played on the WildHorse Course, and the second and final round will be held on the Mustang side of Ross Rogers this coming Monday, March 29.

Canadian grad Hudson claims historic 2A state title at Clarendon

SAN ANTONIO— It was a storybook ending for a first-year coach and a team full of underclassmen. In what became a theme at the Alamodome during the state championships last weekend, the Clarendon Broncos used an exciting finish to cap off its first Class 2A state championship in school history, downing the Grapeland Sandies in a thrilling 64-60 victory Saturday morning.

Canadian tennis teams win mixed-doubles, boys doubles, girls singles at Rebel Tourney

VARSITY DIVISION Mixed-Doubles Leslie Villa/Everett Hadaway, first place. Villa/Hadaway defeated Granillo/Ontivers of Perryton (8-5) in the quarterfinals, eliminated Pendrosa/Cconchola of Olton (8-6) in the semifinals, and won over Maldendol/Beront of Farwell (8-6) for the championship.
