Body CANYON, Texas — Graduating seniors in one of West Texas A&M University’s most prestigious programs will be honored at a pre-commencement ceremony.

Body Washington, May 5, 2023 WASHINGTON—On Friday, May 5, Representative Ronny Jackson (TX-13) announced that seven students from Texas’ 13th Congressional District received appointments to three U.S. Service Academies.

Body Canadian’s Wildcat Junior Football League threw a two-day All-Star Academy Friday and Saturday at Wildcat Stadium that attracted boys and girls from all over the Panhandle.

Body The Northeast Panhandle Teachers Federal Credit Union has announced that Canadian High School seniors Jaci Bass, Brooklyn Cochran, Jazmin Dominguez, and Trace Mitchell are four of 20 area students who received $500 scholarships.  

Body After a successful Area competition, the Canadian FFA has four teams in all qualifying for State. The Homesite Team won the area contest with Beau Gravitt placing second and Jesus Martinez placing fifth. The Land Team placed third in Area.

Body After Regional competition held at the Matador Wildlife Center north of Puducah, both the Canadian FFA Wildlife and Range teams will advance to state competition.
