Shane Harris invited The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center to be our program this week. Mollie Swafford serves as the development director and drove in from Amarillo to remind the club that the Texas Panhandle is not immune to the child abuse and neglect that we often associate with bigger cities.

My sister-in-law Patricia sent me is a link to an easy, tasty dessert. Kind of a pudding cake/cobbler type concoction. She has made it using fresh rhubarb and frozen, with good results and thinks lots of different fruits would work as well. Enjoy!

We are so excited to feature some of local artisan Dale Forrest’s handmade cheese boards and home décor in our gift shop this summer. Forrest’s cheese boards come in a variety of styles, including solid oak and boards made of multiple woods.

Over the last couple of months, we’ve hosted about 175 students at our museum. Of those students, about 100 of them were from Canadian second- and fourthgrade classes, and the other students visited us from various area schools.
