LoEtta “Sis” (Chumbley) Killgore, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 7, 2021, peacefully at home in Dublin, Ohio.

Peter Dwayne Stuhan, 63, of Darrouzett, departed this world on Oct. 3, 2021, in Canadian.

Steve Vandiver passed away peacefully on Oct. 12, 2021, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Services were held at the First Baptist Church of Jasper, Arkansas, on Monday, Oct. 18. He will be interred at Spring Grove Cemetery located in Anthony, Kansas.

Mary Whisenant Gunn of Lipscomb died October 14, 2021 in Canadian. Graveside services will be 2 pm, Monday, October 18, in the Lipscomb Cemetery, with Pastor Donald Hill officiating.

Doris Landers, 92, of Higgins, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, in Canadian. Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Friday, Oct. 15, at the Higgins United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jon Nichols, pastor of the Follett United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment followed in the Higgins Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Joyce Elaine Hoobler Thomas, formerly of Canadian, passed away at the age of 75 on Sept. 30, 2021, in East Tawakoni, from post-COVID-19 complications. She contracted the virus in August and was hospitalized for 10 days. She had been home three weeks recovering and regaining her strength but unfortunately experienced a lung blood clot which took her quickly and unexpectedly.

David Carl Clark, 67, of Perry, Oklahoma, died Sept. 28, 2021, in Stillwater Medical Center-Perry. Dighton-Marler Funeral Home has been entrusted with his final care. Visitation will be today, Thursday, Oct. 7, at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Perry from 9 am to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Friday, Oct. 8, at the Church of Christ in Perry, with Pastor Troy Woolery officiating. Interment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry.

Jacqueline Canada Reynolds, 68, of Canadian stepped into the arms of her Jesus on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, in Canadian, TX. Graveside services were held Friday, September 24, 2021, at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian, with Pastor Donald Hill of The River Ministries, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Shirley Bentley Clifford, 80, of Campbell, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell. Visitation was held Wednesday, Sept. 22 at the Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell, followed by services with Mr. Randall Baker officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.

Margaret Louise Dowdy, 90, of Amarillo, and formerly of Canadian, passed away on September 14, 2021 in Amarillo. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery with Gary Jahnel officiating.
