Richard James “Ricky” Velasquez, 42, of Pampa, was completely healed as he took his Father’s hand on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, and joined Him in Heaven for eternity. Celebration of Life memorial services were held Monday, Nov. 22, at The Carpenter’s Church in Pampa, with Brother Jim Sinyard officiating. The family entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.

Earlene Hoffer, 84, of Miami, and more recently Amarillo, passed away Nov. 10, 2021, in Amarillo.

Derek Allen Anderson passed away at the age of 40, on Nov. 6, 2021. A joint memorial service will be held for Derek and his beloved mother, Suzie, on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at 10 am at the First Baptist Church of Canadian. A private ceremony will be held at the Prairie Dell Cemetery.

Vicky Suzanne (Greene) Anderson, formerly of Canadian, passed away on Nov. 2, 2021, at the age of 69 years. She bravely fought a battle with cancer for 35 years and never once lost her genuine sparkle. A joint memorial service will be held for Suzie and her beloved son, Derek, on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at 10 am at the First Baptist Church of Canadian. A private ceremony will be held at the Prairie Dell Cemetery.

Funeral services for Kenneth Burnett, 91, of Cotton Center, were held on Saturday, Oct. 30, in the First Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Simmons officiating. Burial followed in the Center Plains Cemetery under the direction of Abell Funeral Home and Flower Shop of Abernathy.

Jo Westbrook, 80, of Canadian, departed this world on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, in Amarillo.

Thelma Dean Brinkley, 72, of Salem, Arkansas passed away at home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was born January 8, 1949 in Bradford to the late Warren Albert and Ruby Irene (Finley) Alexander.

Chleora Sue Denning, 47, of Lawton, Oklahoma, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 19, 2021, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be at 2 pm, on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Church of the Nazarene in Higgins, with Rev. Cawlie Johnson, pastor, and Rev. Kristopher Denning, officiating. Burial will follow at the Higgins Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Bessie Lee Boone Gerken passed into eternity on Oct. 19, 2021, in Canadian. She would have been 98 on Oct. 27. A Catholic Mass service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canadian. Burial will be at the Lipscomb Community Cemetery. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Camichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.
