Curtis Aaron Warren was born November 23, 1943, in Cedar City, Utah to Kemper and Lillian Warren. He grew up in the Perryton area and graduated from Perryton High School. Curt married Carolyn Kauffman on January 2, 1965, and they celebrated 58 years together.  While in high school he started working for Bartlett Lumber and worked 23 years in Perryton, Gruver and Canadian.  Curt and Carolyn moved to Canadian in 1972. Curt served as Boy Scout Master along with Bill Rogers of Troup #271, selling Christmas trees and going to camp with the boys. He was Head of Maintenance for Hemphill County Juvenile Correctional Facility. The young men especially enjoyed his rock music while he worked.  Curt proudly served as a Deacon for the First Christian Church in Canadian. He was a carpenter and enjoyed many different building projects.  Curt cherished outdoor family time. Some of the favorite activities were hunting pheasant, quail, and fishing.  He also enjoyed boating and was an excellent water skier.  Rock & Roll Music had a message, Curt was quick to share it.  He loved his initials, CAW. and the family is certain they will find many random treasures with CAW for years to come.

Curt was preceded in death by parents; Kemper Warren, Lillian and Ralph Danzey; grandson, Cade Koch; sister, Jeanette Parkin and brother, Kenny Warren.

Those left to celebrate Curt’s memory are his wife, Carolyn Warren of Canadian; son, Doyle Warren of Elk City, OK; daughter, Dana Koch and husband Eddie of Lipscomb and Canadian; grandchildren, Trevor, Lily, Jacob, and Kyler; 4 great grandchildren, Destinee, Lilly, Cyrus, David; and sister, Colette Matthews.
