Xcel Energy to trim trees near power lines here

CANADIAN—Xcel Energy plans to trim trees near power lines serving customers in Canadian to prevent tree-related power outages and to lessen the chance of wildfire fueled by overgrown vegetation. The work will be carried out by Asplundh between April and June.

Charlie Mann proudly introduced Chris Koetting, CISD athletic director, and two of his players, Trace Mitchell and Tripp Mills. Koetting began his program by praising his coaching staff and players. He said this year was one of the most enjoyable.

Hemphill County Library check-in

The Hemphill County Library has quite the year! With astounding program turnouts and new staff additions, the library has done well. The library checked out 17,449 items from October 2021 to September 2022 (their fiscal year).

In last week’s Rotary Club meeting, Ike Julian introduced Broc Carter, Beth Gunn, and Stephanie Pena, all from the Amarillo Area Foundation. The Amarillo Area Foundation was established in 1951 and chartered in 1957.
