Quentin Isaacs passed away at his ranch home on Jan. 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family and caregivers, having fully used up his mortal life at 103. There will be a private family graveside service, followed by burial under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors at the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. His lifelong friend Ben Mathers will officiate.

Carl “Duno” Hornback Jr., 81, of Canadian, was welcomed into his savior’s arms on Dec. 1, 2021, in Canadian. Celebration of Life Funeral Services was held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the First Baptist Church in Canadian with Reverend Matt Phenix officiating. Burial will follow immediately after at the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Dustin Mark Hebert was born Jan. 7, 1982, in Garland. Early on the morning of Dec. 3, 2021, Dustin met up personally with Jesus to talk about the most recent New Orleans Saints performance. A celebration of Dustin’s life is scheduled for 1 pm on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at Williams Funeral Home, located at 1600 S. Garland Ave. in Garland.

Longtime Canadian resident Tom Hobdy passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, in Victoria. An old-fashioned hymn sing will be held in his honor at Northside Baptist Church in Victoria, on Sunday, Jan. 16, at 5 pm. A celebration of life will be held in Canadian, after the first of the year.
