Body Every year on November 15th communities across the state gather to observe Texas Recycles Day.  Every day, small communities across the Panhandle work hard to recycle and divert waste from area landfills.

Body An effort to replace Canadian’s 45-year-old swimming pool is gaining traction this summer from a coalition of elected officials who believe that a new facility, designed to be used year-round, could benefit the entire community in a variety of ways.

Body Canadian City Manager Joe Jarosek notified The Record this morning of his staff’s efforts—now underway—to suppress the growing mosquito population in town. The problem has been compounded by the abundance of precipitation this area has received over the last three weeks.
