Body AUSTIN—Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson is reminding Texans to prepare for the upcoming constitutional amendment election on November 7.

Body The Hemphill County Hospital District now has a new member on its board of directors: Whitney Jones. Jones won 66 votes in Saturday’s election, over current board member Jesse Hanes’s 48. Cory Pittman received 99 votes and Colby Leach, 104.

Body UPDATED: In a last-minute change, Hemphill County Hospital officials reported Monday that early voting by personal appearance for the hospital board will now take place in the MedNet Room located inside the main entrance. It will be conducted from 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays.
