We had a great turn out for Fall Foliage on Saturday, considering this is the Pandemic Year of 2020. The temporary exhibit, Creepy Things from the Collection, was a hit with almost everyone. One little girl cried from being scared of our candy dish and broke my heart. But everyone else enjoyed it.
INGREDIENTS: 1/2 cup dried rice vermicelli 8 rice paper wrappers, dried 16 shrimp, cooked 16 basil leaves 16 basil leaves 1/4 cup cilantro leaves 1 cup lettuce leaves, chopped 1/4 cup mint leaves 1 carrot, grated 1 tablespoon lime zest, grated PREPARATION: Place wrapper into hot water until pliable.

Walking into Rotary, we were all greeted with the beautiful sight of seven exquisite pieces from the newest exhibit at The Citadelle Art Museum called “The Global Language of Headwear.” Wendie Cook pulled a few strings to be able to move the pieces from the museum for us to see.
I am so excited that we are in the last quarter of the nightmare year of 2020. However, and much more importantly, I am tremendously excited about this year’s annual quilt show. Only a pandemic could force us to change our yearly show, but in this case, it has been a good thing.
