Carl “Duno” Hornback Jr., 81, of Canadian, was welcomed into his savior’s arms on Dec. 1, 2021, in Canadian. Celebration of Life Funeral Services was held on Saturday, Dec. 4, at the First Baptist Church in Canadian with Reverend Matt Phenix officiating. Burial will follow immediately after at the Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

The family of Neal Flathers celebrated his life of 82 years on December 3, 2021, at Lake Ridge Chapel and Memorial Designers. He passed on Saturday, November 27, 2021.

Dustin Mark Hebert was born Jan. 7, 1982, in Garland. Early on the morning of Dec. 3, 2021, Dustin met up personally with Jesus to talk about the most recent New Orleans Saints performance. A celebration of Dustin’s life is scheduled for 1 pm on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at Williams Funeral Home, located at 1600 S. Garland Ave. in Garland.

Longtime Canadian resident Tom Hobdy passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, in Victoria. An old-fashioned hymn sing will be held in his honor at Northside Baptist Church in Victoria, on Sunday, Jan. 16, at 5 pm. A celebration of life will be held in Canadian, after the first of the year.

Carol Adcock stepped into the arms of Jesus on Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, in Canadian.

Stanley Lankford passed peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family, at home on Nov. 24, 2021, in Canadian. A celebration of life is planned for 11 am on Thursday, Dec. 18, at The River on Main Street.

Calvin (Bud) Thrasher, 71, passed unexpectedly on Nov. 17, 2021.

Donald Dean Ray, age 94, died Oct. 25, 2021, following a long illness.

Richard James “Ricky” Velasquez, 42, of Pampa, was completely healed as he took his Father’s hand on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, and joined Him in Heaven for eternity. Celebration of Life memorial services were held Monday, Nov. 22, at The Carpenter’s Church in Pampa, with Brother Jim Sinyard officiating. The family entrusted the cremation care of their loved one to Winegeart Funeral Home.

Earlene Hoffer, 84, of Miami, and more recently Amarillo, passed away Nov. 10, 2021, in Amarillo.
