Rudolph Rankin, 98, of Miami and Canadian, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, in Canadian, surrounded b

At age 92 years, Bill Jones, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, teacher / coach and friend, stepped into his eternal reward with Jesus following a prolonged decline in his health. He was born to Tate and Maggie Jones in Dougherty, Texas. He grew up on the family farm and attended schools in Dougherty and Floydada.

Fernand "Tito" Escalante Hernandez was born on May 29, 1965, in the beautiful city of Puebla, Puebla, Mexico, and he embraced life's journey until November 15, 2025, when he passed away in Canadian, Texas. Tito was a man known for his loving spirit, infectious humor, and amicable nature. His life was a testament to his enduring love for his family.

Virginia (Gena) Kelley Tubb, 94, formally of Canadian passed away peacefully on November 18, 2025. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, November 25, at the Carmichael-Whatley Canadian Funeral Chapel, with Gary Jahnel officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

“JR” Barnett, 65, of Higgins stepped into his heavenly home on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in Higgins with his co-driver, Tamara by his side.

Private family services will be held in the Higgins Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Jerry W. Faulkner, 75 of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on October 24, 2025, with his son and his sister by his side. Services will be held in the spring of 2026.

Jerry Faulkner was born on August 13, 1950, in Princeton, Indiana, to John and Arminta (Becky) Faulkner. He graduated from Canadian High School in 1968 and served in the U.S Navy for 4 years on the submarine USS Cutlass stationed in Morocco. Jerry worked mainly in the oil, gas and mining industries.

Terry Wayne Brown, 81, of Canadian passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, November 3, at First Christian Church in Canadian with Rev. Matt Cook and Kent Stainback officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Lonnie Ray Trout of Mobeetie, Texas, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on October 16, 2025 at Mesa View Senior Living in Canadian at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 3 days. 

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Tuesday, October 21, at the First Baptist Church in Mobeetie with Rev. James Greer officiating. Burial will follow at Mobeetie Cemetery in Mobeetie. Viewing will be conducted on Monday, October 20, from 9 am-6 pm at the funeral home.
