Throughout the past year, my husband, Peter, and I have been seeing no one except Peter’s sister, Lori, and her husband. Lori has stage 4 cancer and has had a tough fight.

At noon on Monday, March 29, CHS students and their parents are invited to learn about a Panhandle Workforce Commission program that can potentially help alleviate some of the costs associated with attending any type of post-high school education. The program, which is relatively easy to qualify for, is available to both adults and youth, and includes a variety of educational pursuits, from certification to trade school to college. The meeting will be held at noon in the Canadian High School LGI room. Valerie Hood will be in Mrs. Warren’s classroom through the lunch hour and sixth period to meet with anyone who may be interested.

Canadian’s boys and girls track teams competed over spring break at the Perryton Triangular track-and-field meet last Friday at Rangers Stadium in Perryton. The meet saw athletes from host school Perryton, Canadian, and Bushland race at the event.

Canadian Middle School athletes followed up on last week’s across-the-board sweep of the Wildcat Relays by repeating the perfomance at Childress. The Cats and Lady Cats finished the meet with all four team first places. Here are their results:
