Three Canadian juveniles were involved in a one-vehicle rollover Friday afternoon on North Exhibition Road near the Hemphill County Airport in Canadian. The accident occurred around 3:50 pm on Friday, Jan.

Canadian Water Well Inc. celebrated its 100th anniversary this week. The local welldrilling contractor, formerly Julian Water Well, was established here in 1922 by Henry “Hank” Julian, an 18-year-old transplant from the state of Missouri. Hank grew his business from the ground up—pun intended.

The Canadian Lady Cats have gotten off on the right foot to open District 1-3A play thanks to a pair of victories against River Road and Dalhart. The Lady Cats blasted River Road in the district opener on Friday by an 8333 count.

Connor Cipollone, a CHS sophomore, went to Austin to participate in the 3A competition in congressional debate on Jan 4. He is the first student in CHS history to advance to state in this event.
