The Canadian Lady Cats will carry positive momentum to open District 1-3A play on Friday after getting two big wins fresh off the Christmas break. Canadian earned a road victory at Childress last Thursday 47-38 before closing the non-district schedule by nabbing a hardfought 50-48 win over Wellington at home on Monday.

On the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 27, Crescencio Castaneda, 38, of Canadian, was involved in a two-vehicle crash at 2nd and Main.

Canadian native Ben Arbuckle has been making big news around the Division I college football scene over the past week.
