AUSTIN--Today, Nov. 7, is Election Day in Texas. Statewide, voters will weigh in on 14 proposed amendments to the state constitution.
On Tuesday, November 7, Texas voters will determine the fate of 14 proposed amendments to the state constitution. The subjects of the propositions range from local to regional to statewide issues, covering parks, internet, teachers pensions, property taxes and other matters of critical importance to Texans.
Early voting in Texas’ November 7 constitutional amendment election begins on Monday, October 23, and ends on Friday, November 3.
Voters in Hemphill County may cast early ballots by personal appearance at the Hemphill County Courthouse. Early voting hours will be from 8 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday, with the exception of Thursday-Friday, November 2-3, when hours will be extended from 7 am-7 pm.
AUSTIN—Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson is reminding Texans to prepare for the upcoming constitutional amendment election on November 7.
“Texans will have the opportunity to vote on 14 proposed amendments to the state constitution, and some local governments will also hold elections this November,” said Nelson. “Now is a good time to take note of upcoming election deadlines and prepare.”
