AUSTIN—Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced this week that he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose districts $1.3 billion in local sales tax allocations for February, 1.6 percent more than in February 2023.

TEA annual report just released The Texas Education Agency’s annual report was released last week. It indicates per-student funding in the 2021-2022 school year averaged $14,928 per student, up 42% since 2011.

Statewide and county crude oil and natural gas production for November 2023 came from 162,789 oil wells and 86,491 gas wells. Crude oil production reported by the RRC is limited to oil produced from oil leases and does not include condensate, which is reported separately by the RRC.

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.81 billion in October, down 0.3 percent from October 2022. The majority of October sales tax revenue is based on sales made in September and remitted to the agency in October.

On Tuesday, November 7, Texas voters will determine the fate of 14 proposed amendments to the state constitution.
