PORT LAVACA — Orla Boyde Curnutt, 88, of Port Lavaca, passed away, Saturday, October 21, 2023. He was born on July 21, 1935 in Canadian, Texas, to the late Orla Hezekiah and Marie Elizabeth Curnutt.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Curnutt; daughter, Deanne Weise (Rev. Keith R. Weise); and son, Greg Curnutt. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and sisters Joyce Givhan and Betty Karen Eggleston.

Both the Wildcat Varsity and Junior High teams won the meet. Out of 20 runners competing, 18 ran their personal best, reported Coach Jay McCook, who concluded, “Outstanding day for the Wildcats.”
