Obituaries

Carolyn Lee Gullett, 86, of Robinson, Illinois, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, at Magnolia Center in Robinson. Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 17, with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating, with burial following in the Robinson New Cemetery. 

Carolyn was born on Dec. 16, 1933, in New Hebron, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore and Oneita (Myers) Berry, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Robert D. Gullett on Nov. 17, 1951, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 21, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Rita Riker.

Lori Pletcher went to her heavenly home peacefully and unexpectedly on Jan. 17, 2020. A celebration of Lori’s life will be held at 1 pm on Jan. 25, 2020 at Messiah’s House in Amarillo. 

Lori was born Oct. 15, 1963, in Shattuck, Oklahoma, to Doyle and Kathy Cates. She married her lifelong best friend, Dallis, in July 1983, and four years later, their lives were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Alex Beth. 

Lori graduated from Booker High School in 1982. She graduated from Panhandle State University in May 1987 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. 

Juanita M. Patrick, 81, of Pampa, died Jan. 16, 2020. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Bob Hohertz, 88, of Canadian, died Jan. 18, 2020, in Lubbock.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm on Saturday, Jan. 25, at Canadian’s First United Methodist Church with Rev. David Gerhardt, officiating. Burial will follow in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. 

Eileen Louise Falke, 95, of Canadian, passed away gracefully on Jan. 15, 2020, while being cared for by the loving hands of the Hemphill County Hospice and hospital nursing staff. The family will hold a memorial graveside at a later date. Cremation arrangements are Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian. 

Eileen Louise Falke was born April 3, 1924, in Cimarron, Kansas, to Mabel and Roy Jenkins. She was one of 10 children. Eileen married Nick Falke on Dec. 26, 1950, in Garden City, Kansas. She had lived in Canadian since 1963. 

Sally Sue Smith, 68, of Borger, died Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, at home in Colorado. Funeral services were held at 2 pm on Monday, Jan. 13, at the Riverview Baptist Church, with Pastor Alton Cheatwood II, and Pastor Rick Timmons of the Central Baptist Church in Canadian, officiating. Burial followed in Westlawn Memorial Park.

Billy  Dean  Hunt,  74,  of  Higgins,  died  Nov.  24,  2019. Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at the Church of the Nazarene in Higgins, with Pastor Cawlie Johnson officiating.

Carolann Pinson Denton Moore, 80, of Houston, died Dec. 25, 2019. Her memorial service was held on Jan. 7, 2020, in the Hankamer Chapel at the Second Baptist Church in Houston. 

Wilbur N. Killebrew Jr., 82, of Pampa, died Jan. 4, 2020, in Amarillo. Celebration of life services were held today, Thursday, Jan. 9, at 10 am, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with John Curry and Rev. Ruby Moultrie, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial followed at 2 pm at Edith Ford Cemeteries of Canadian, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Marion G. Hill, 92, of Amarillo, died Dec. 29, 2019, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, at the Washington Avenue Christian Church, with Gary Jahnel officiating. Services are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.
