CHS alum named to Uni. of Wyoming Provost’s Honor Roll

The University of Wyoming lists three Texas students on the 2020 fall semester Provost’s Honor Roll, among them Emma Waters of Canadian. The Provost’s Honor Roll consists of undergraduates who have completed at least six but fewer than 12 hours with a minimum 3.5 grade-point average for the semester. Emma is the daughter of Colby and Erin Waters of Canadian.

Local student earns distinction at Wichita State University

WICHITA, Kan.—Wichita State University has announced the names of more than 3,500 students who were on the WSU dean's honor roll for fall 2020. Among those named was Taylor S. Altmiller of Canadian. To be included on the dean's honor roll, a student must be enrolled full-time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn at least a 3.5 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale.

CISD Robotics teams compete in two of three UIL-qualifying meets

Canadian High School and Canadian Middle School robotics teams competed in the second of three University Interscholastic League-qualifying meets on Saturday, Feb. 6. The high school team, Wildcat Robotics 1, is now ranked 16th among the 28 teams reporting, while the middle school team, DS Robot Designers, is ranked 20th. The CHS Sub-Sonic Engineers 1 team is tied for 23rd.
