WHILE WE APPRECIATE Mr. Tripplehorn’s thirst for knowledge about the plethora of candidates running for office in the upcoming primary election (see letter to the editor at left), we had a little trouble swallowing his suggestion that there is no source for information about the candidates.

We’ve heard and read plenty of rumor and misinformation about the upcoming school consolidation election, which residents of both the Canadian and Higgins school districts will be asked to consider in the May 2 election.

The number of candidates who have filed in next month’s Republican or Democratic primary elections is daunting. Many of the names are not well-known ones—even to those who follow state and national politics closely.
