Like many, we are now harvesting cucumber, squash, and zucchini. My PT guru and fellow gardener, Carol, brought us eggplant as well. This is my favorite way to prepare eggplant. My sister served it to me years ago on a visit, and I was hooked. I mean really hooked.
Palace hosts Music on Main Street
The Palace Theatre will be hosting local band 60 West this Saturday, August 15 at 8 pm. The band will be located in front of the theatre, so that everyone can practice social distancing while enjoying the live music.

The webinars, which will be from noon to 1 pm on Tuesdays, are free and open for public participation.
National Cowgirl Museum offers virtual visitors free digital tour
FORT WORTH—The National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame is pleased to announce it has created a digital tour guide to support touch-free interaction. This tour provides visitors the ability to access audio and images that they otherwise would not be able to view or hear.
Volunteers sought as need for food assistance grows
The Hemphill County AgriLife Extension office reports that the need for food assistance to struggling local families continues to rise, and that additional volunteers are needed to help with preparation and distribution of food boxes.
What's Cookin' in Canadian: Fresh Yogurt
PREPARATION: Pour 1/2 gallon whole milk into your clean pot and secure the lid. Hit the yogurt function and adjust the button until it reads ‘Boil.’ If your pot doesn’t have a set yogurt button on the front of the pot, check the manual for details.
