Canadian City Wide Garage Sale is scheduled for this Saturday

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce will hold a City Wide Garage Sale this Saturday, April 15, 2023. Maps are available at The Chamber of Commerce Office and also in the silver mailbox located at the front door of the Chamber building. Thirteen garage sale sites are illustrated on the map. AUSTIN — Spring has sprung. With extended sunshine and milder days, more people are enjoying the outdoors as native wildlife adds new fawns and hatchlings to their broods. Texans may start to notice more wildlife in their backyard, neighborhood or surrounding areas. The best thing to do is to leave them alone.

Texas A&M Forest Service prepares for extreme fire conditions in Panhandle

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A combination of above-normal temperatures, low humidity, dry fuel and strong winds will create the potential for extreme fire conditions across large portions of the state early this week.

Today, conditions capable of producing large fires are expected across the Western Plains, including Canadian, Childress, Amarillo and Lubbock.
