SALINA, KANSAS — Jimmie Earl Dorman, 100, was taken by the Lord from this earth on September 10, 2025. He was born December 7, 1924 to Ralph and Elise (Cornwell) Dorman on their farm north of Haddam, Kansas.

With great sorrow, we share the loss of our beloved son and brother, George Salem Abraham, at the age of 22.
Services will be private at the request of his family. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.
Marvin Lee “Mert” Cooper, 83, of Canadian, surrounded by family, passed to the other side of the river on August 30, 2025.

Sheryl A. Ferguson Hoover, age 81, of Amarillo, passed away on August 29 surrounded by loved ones at home.
Born on June 7, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, Sheryl was the beloved child of Howard and Muriel Ferguson. She grew up in Los Angeles, California, graduated from Westchester High School and later went on to marry WD Hoover and move to Canadian, where they lived out their lives together and have a beautiful daughter named Amber Dawn Hoover.
Evelyn Marie McNeal, 75, of Canadian stepped into the arms of Jesus on Monday, August 18, 2025, in Waco surrounded by her loving family.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, August 26, at the River Ministries Church with Daylon Kirkland and Pastor Donald Hill, officiating. Burial will follow at Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.
