Eva Timmons, 89, of Canadian, formerly of Lefors, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in Canadian.
Services will be at 10 am on Saturday, August 3, at the First Baptist Church in Lefors with Rev. Rick Timmons, pastor at Central Baptist Church in Canadian, officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Heights Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Joe "Gary" Story, 75, of Wilmore, Kentucky passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024. Gary was known for his engaging personality, caring demeanor, and wonderful sense of humor. He loved to strike up conversations with friends and strangers alike. His interest in the lives of others drew people to him.
Barbara Nell Morgan was born on December 28, 1941, in Plainview, Texas, to Tonie and Ione Evelyn Mills. She moved to Guymon, Oklahoma, where she graduated from Guymon High School in the class of 1959. Barbara met the love of her life, Max, in 1961 in Canadian, Texas. They were married on May 11, 1963 amid the blare of tornado sirens.
Pauline “Polly” Norene Shepherd Tubb was born April 20, 1928 and passed away July 21, 2024.
Polly was born north of Seiling, Oklahoma to Enid and Laura Barnes Shepherd who moved to Canadian when Polly was a young child. She met and married George Earl Tubb in 1951 at Pampa. He preceded her in death (1998). They had two sons: George David Tubb and Gary Earl Tubb.
Farrell “Joe” Wallace was born in Canadian, Texas, on January 30, 1943, to his parents, Russell Wallace and Beadie Pearl (Hand) Wallace. He married Treva Ann Weidner on October 20, 1962, in Stephenville, Texas.
Joe was a proud 1965 graduate of Texas A&M. He worked for many years as an electrical engineer. His true passion was working and spending time on the ranch. Joe was a member of the Mambrino Baptist Church in Granbury, Texas.
Joe passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024, in Bluff Dale, Texas. He was 81 years old.

Monica Lynn Beard was born April 12, 1955, in Canadian, Texas, to Don and Betty Ruth Merydith Beard. She passed from this life July 7, 2024, in Abilene, Texas.

Bette “Bubbles” Scroggins completed her earthly journey on July 7, 2024.
Bette was born September 25, 1939, to Allene Burleson and Franklin Jefferson “F.J.” Smith. She married L.M. “Sam” Scroggins on February 21, 1959.
Bette is predeceased by both parents, husband Sam (1/24/2003), and grandson Dustin Mark Hebert (12/3/2021).
James Melvin “Jim” Hash was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on April 8, 1936, to Melvin “Slim” and Anna Mae (Long) Hash. Jim passed from this life on June 26, 2024, at the age of 88.
Memorial services will be held at 2:01 pm, Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at the Canadian Methodist Church with Justin Colman officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.
