Rotary Report: Mad Hatters

Body
Walking into Rotary, we were all greeted with the beautiful sight of seven exquisite pieces from the newest exhibit at The Citadelle Art Museum called “The Global Language of Headwear.” Wendie Cook pulled a few strings to be able to move the pieces from the museum for us to see. There is no other place that the people these pieces represent could be present in the same room with a peaceful outcome.

As my readers remember, I have been reporting on what was considered a brief sketch of the public service of Mary Corson’s brother and Augusta’s uncle, George Davidson. These articles have been taken from Giants of Science: Mining and Scientific Press. This sketch has featured George as their most prominent Pacific Coast scientist.

Leaves are already turning on the GMA’s cottonwoods, chinaberry, hackberry, and persimmon trees. Adding color to the fall landscape will be wild plum bushes, sumac, and wild grapevines. The colorful pallet will add to the nature oriented activities offered to guests of all ages.
