Body

Students with an interest in learning more about the important patterns in math—and particularly those interested in UIL Math, Number Sense, and Calculator contests—are invited to participate in a UIL Math Summer Institute at Canadian High School.

The institute will give students—from elementary through high school grade levels—an opportunity to boost their math skills and learn new ways to think about numbers and math. Students will study the fun topics in math that have cool hidden patterns and that appear on the ACT and SAT tests. The emphasis will be on topics that are common on the UIL Math, Number Sense and Calculator contests.

Grade-level appropriate classes will be held each Monday, from June 15 to July 13, in Room S105 at Canadian High School (Mr. Hutsell’s classroom). Class times are 9-10 am for elementary-age students, 10:30-11:30 am for middle-schoolers, and 1-2 pm for high school students.

TEA COVID-19 summer guidelines will be followed in each class.
