The 91st Annual Texas FFA Convention was held July 14-19 in Fort Worth. Over 15,000 FFA members from around the state were in attendance. Members of the state’s largest agricultural youth-leadership organization spent the week attending leadership workshops, participating in events and activities, being recognized for their achievements, and serving as the legislative body for the Texas FFA Association. Seven members from the Canadian FFA chapter attended the convention. Among those were (in photo above, l-r) Carsen Norris, Emma Waters, Cooper Norris, and Callie Vinson. Three members of the Canadian FFA chapter participated in the Texas FFA Rodeo held in Alavado at the Shephard’s Valley Cowboy Church: Jace Belk, Shaylee Hill, and Kyler McClendon. There were 223 entries in nine events at the rodeo. Jace competed in team roping, along with Kyler McClendon. Shaylee was entered in breakaway roping and goat tying. She finished fourth in goat tying. Kyler took sixth place in calf roping. Pictured in the photo below are: (front row, l-r) Carsen Norris, Shaylee Hill, Emma Waters, and Callie Vinson; (back row), Cooper Norris, Kyler McClendon, and Jace Belk.
