Rockin’ the Block

THE BLOCK WAS ROCKED, and it took a village to make it happen! The Canadian Community Center would like to say thanks to everyone who came out to party with us Saturday.

We would also like to especially thank everyone who helped make the event a huge success! Thank you to our financial sponsors: Capital Farm Credit, Lance Johnson, and Wallace and Rhealene Hill. Thanks to the Canadian River Beach Club for hosting diving for dollars, and to Bartlett’s Lumber and Hardware for the use of a stock tank. Thanks to Dawn Webb and John Julian who donated their diving for dollars winnings to the CCC.

Thanks to the Catholic Church for the use of their dunk tank, and the HCSO and the jail trustees for setting it up. Thanks to our neighbors, the Mayhews, for the extra electricity, and to the Chamber/EDC for use of their sound system and for printing our tickets. Thanks to the Canadian Volunteer Fire Department for lending us the use of their cornhole sets. Thanks to Armadillo Ink for all the shirts, to Mattie McNeil for face painting, and to volunteers Lori and Ethan Jackson, and Alex Gonzolas.

Thanks to The Peppermint Tree and Branch, Happy State Bank, and Lisa32 Skin Care for donating door prizes. Thank you to the bevy of bakers and big, big thanks to the superstar bake-sale coordinator, Maddy Longoria. You guys rock!

We had so much fun, and we hope to see you at our next event.

IKE JULIAN, Assistant Director, Canadian Community Center
