Evelyn Huff, 81, of Miami, died June 13, 2019, in Canadian. Services were held at 10 am on Monday, June 17, at the First Baptist Church in Miami, with Rev. Dennis Williams, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in Miami Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Mrs. Huff was born Jan. 7, 1938, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. She married Bert Huff on April 18, 1958, in Houston, Missouri. They moved to Miami in 1967, and he preceded her in death in 1997. Evelyn was a homemaker and started a “side job” as a saleswoman for Avon, eventually becoming the top salesperson in the area. She received many Avon Presidential Club awards and was the Avon Lady for over 40 years. She later became the Roberts County librarian, retiring in 2017 at the age of 80, after 16 years of service. Evelyn crocheted, knitted, gardened, and loved westerns and her cats. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Edward Abraham Memorial Home and staff, Hemphill County Hospital and staff, Hemphill County Hospice and staff, and Dr. Cody Culwell and staff for their loving care and attention to Evelyn during her time with them.

Evelyn was also preceded in death by three sons, Henry Moynihan, Wayne Huff, and Joe Huff.

Survivors include a son, Bert (Bub) Huff Jr., of Licking, Missouri; a daughter, Ellen Duncan and husband Alan of Ralls; a son, Danny Huff and wife Alice of Miami; a son, Jimmy Huff and wife Alta of Licking, Missouri; a daughter, Connie Huff of Miami; and a daughter, Mary Riley and husband Steven of Amarillo; 18 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
