Matthew McCurley, pastor, and Ben Mathers, officiating. Burial will be in Lipscomb Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Mrs. Bussard was born Nov. 25, 1918, in Miami, to James and Dove Keffer. She attended schools in Lipscomb and graduated from Shattuck High School. After graduating from high school, she went on to nursing school and graduated from Baylor Nursing School in Dallas. On July 17, 1938, she married Jesse J. Bussard in Pampa; he died March 15, 1986. Jesse worked for Cities Services Gas Company, which required them to move to different cities, including Skellytown, Pampa, Higgins, and they finally made their home in Glazier in the 60s. She worked and filled in at different hospitals in Higgins, Shattuck, Canadian, and in a doctor’s office in Pampa.

Charlotte celebrated her 100th birthday this past year and has lived at Mesa View Assisted Living for the past six years, where she has made wonderful friends with the residents and the staff. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bridge (and was duplicate bridge life master), gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, and sudoku. Charlotte was a lifelong member of the Baptist Church, and she was a longtime member of the Eastern Star. Her family was very important to her, and she loved to travel and visit them. She was very proud of them all. She will be missed dearly by her family and her friends.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Keffer Johnson and Pat Keffer Moore; and three brothers, James Keffer, Douglas Keffer, and John Keffer.
