AMARILLO—The TPRDHQ will host "Taking Back the Dome!" a Democracy in Action event bringing together featured speakers and local candidates for an evening focused on grassroots organizing and civic engagement in the TX Panhandle.

The event will take place on Saturday, September 12, with doors opening at 5:30 pm, in the Heritage Room at the Amarillo Civic Center.

Featured speakers include Clayton Tucker, candidate for TX Ag Commissioner; Holly Taylor, candidate for Judge, TX Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 9; Kendall Scudder, Texas State Democratic Chair; and Glenda Moore, Woman of the Year 2026 and Executive Director, Kind House Ukraine Bakery. A slate of local candidates will also address attendees about the path forward for Democratic representation in Texas.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the TPRDHQ, supporting its ongoing organizing efforts across the region.
