URGENT MESSAGE: Perryton, Texas, Tornado Relief Efforts
From Assistant City Manager Colby Waters
Perryton’s Assistant City Manager Colby Waters just reported to The Canadian Record that due to an influx of generous donations from all over the country, the City of Perryton is inundated with provisions and materials that they have no way of handling under the existing difficult conditions created by Thursday’s deadly tornados. Food supplies are particularly difficult to handle because they have no way of storing or cooking those perishables. Power supplies have been compromised, and resources are stretched thin already.
While every kindness is appreciated, Waters is asking that those wishing to help instead consider making monetary donations, which will go directly to their rescue and restoration efforts.
While every kindness is appreciated, Waters is asking that those wishing to help instead consider making monetary donations, which will go directly to their rescue and restoration efforts. Accounts for Perryton’s Tornado Relief efforts have already been set up at Perryton National Bank (825 S Main St, Perryton, TX 79070, Phone: 806-435-9641) and FirstBank Southwest (201 S Main St, Perryton, TX 79070, Phone: 806-435-3676).
At this time, donations of money are desperately needed, and can be used to make the biggest immediate difference in the lives of Perryton’s residents. Please consider making a donation today.
