Chad Joseph Harris, 30, of Canadian, was arrested on Thursday, June 13, and charged with theft of property in relation to a motorcycle stolen from a residence on Sixth Street on April 22. The arrest followed an investigation by the Hemphill County Sheriff’s Office, in which forensic evidence was collected and pointed to Harris as the suspect. Harris was already serving probation for a misdemeanor charge of driving without a license and without financial responsibility, a class B misdemeanor, and his probation was revoked. He was charged with theft of property valued between $2,500 and $30,000, a state jail felony, and his bond was set at $10,000. He is being held in Hemphill County Jail.
